The Texas County Commissioners Write-In

Lonestar News and Mr.CTV present The Texas County Commissioners Write-In, a community based self-governance group hosted at Pilled(dot)net. The first project in a line of planned activities, The Texas County Commissioners Write-In invites Texas residents desiring to participate in writing, e-mailing, calling or otherwise, conveying to our elected officials the will of the people with respect to the work their office performs. County commissioners as an elected office represents the will of the people its office represents in a large way. From certifying elections to declaring invasions, participants in this group will send their commissioners the latter as a first exercise in self-governance.

Texas has 254 counties. Eighteen counties have declared a border invasion. Those counties: Atascosa, Chambers, Edwards, Ellis, Goliad, Hardin, Johnson, Kinney, Liberty, Live Oak, Orange, Parker, Presidio, Terrell, Tyler, Van Zandt, Wilson, and Wise.

According to a recent article from The Western Journal:

The commissioners refer to Section 433.005(a) of the Texas Government Code and Article 4, Section 7 of the Texas Constitution and request the “governor of Texas, as Commander-in-chief of the military forces of the State, take all necessary and legal steps to preserve and protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Texas.”

They also call on him to “act under the constitutional authority granted to him under Article 4, Section 7 of the Texas Constitution … and Article 1, Section 10, Clause 3 of the U.S. Constitution … to immediately prevent and/or remove all persons trespassing as well as invading the sovereignty of Texas and that of the United States.”

It’s Official: 18 Counties Declare Southern Border Crisis an ‘Invasion’ – The Western Journal, September 9, 2022

Abbott has yet to declare an invasion, rather directing law enforcement to the border and performing grand political and campaign maneuvering.

If we, the people want to restore our Republic, participating in the process of self-governance is as easy as expressing ones thoughts, point of view, and/or desire regarding well-researched and informed decisions to be made by elected representatives. That is 101, but many of us are just getting started, or just want to approach it differently.

The Texas Commissioners Write-In was created for just this purpose. With Governor Abbott not taking every constitutional measure he can to protect the people of Texas and these United States of America, we will have to encourage him by starting in our own backyards. For this mission, we must encourage the county commissioners to declare an invasion from the southern border. For that it must be voted on during a public agenda or meeting.

Considering the grassroots of Texas has spoken, and the Republican 2023 priorities include securing the border, when 254 counties in Texas have declared an invasion, the governor cannot refuse to do it; and in the process we might root out some RINOs and traitors to the Republic. Yeehaw, y’all!
